Jarcrew

The unorthodox South Welsh fivepiece and early X-posure favourites Jarcrew hit the Xfm Studios with their tribal brand of urban noisecore.

Jarcrew 'Xfm Session' [Dial-Up] [Broadband]

Not since the gloriously short-lived Fighting Cocks have a band so effortlessly woven playground raps, circular-saw like guitar riffs and straightforward noise to create the perfect soundtrack to a particularly feisty protest march. New single 'Paris & The New Math' [Dial-Up] [Broadband] is particularly rich, surfing in on disco guitars berore exploding in a joyous, anarchic swell.

'Yes We Say... No' [Dial-Up] [Broadband] comes across like a gleefully violent Chili Peppers' track; all the funk and muscle but with a harder centre. Finally, 'Komputer' [Dial-Up] [Broadband] opens up by playing a fax machine like a flute, and mixes up the mechanical and the organic even more from there.
