added 25 October 2004 at 16.10

Following the critical and commercial success of their recent punk-concept album 'American Idiot' and news of their first UK tour for two years, Xfm Online can reveal that Green Day have added a massive open air concert at the Milton Keynes Bowl in June.

As previously reported, Green Day will be playing a (now completely sold out) UK and Ireland tour in January and February next year including a collection of intimate clubs, medium
sized venues and arenas including London's Hammersmith Apollo and Carling Brixton Academy.

Now Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool have announced their biggest ever UK date. The band will play a show at the 60,000 capacity Milton Keynes Bowl on June 18.

Tickets for the Milton Keynes date go on sale this Saturday (October 30). For details call the Xfm Xchange on 0871 222 1049 or look online at the Xfm Online Gig Guide at by clicking here.
