Goldie Lookin' Chain Budget Signing

Hotly tipped nine piece Newport based hip hop collective Goldie Lookin' Chain signed their first major record label deal yesterday (March 17) outside the Houses of Parliament and celebrated with sausage rolls and cheese and pineapple on sticks.
The group penned the contract with East West and Must Destroy Records (home of The Darkness) in front of Parliament, completing a deal that according to official sources is reportedly worth “£20 and a soap bar”.
Carrying banners emblazoned with slogans such as 'Weed Has Rights Too', 'Golf Sale', ‘Shop Mobility’, ‘Ever Get The Feeling You’ve Been Ripped Off?' and the classic 'Free Terry Waite' and they staged an impromptu party with cherryade, Cheesy Wotsits, sausage rolls and cheese and pineapple on sticks stuck in half a grapefruit.
As it was Budget Day, numerous MPs were touting soundbites to the assembled camera crews, but GLC were joined by the Labour MP for Newport, Paul Flynn, (whose placard read 'I'm Paul Flynn MP - You Knows It') renowned for his pro-cannabis stance and his fondness for the band.
Goldie Lookin' Chain’s debut major label single 'Half Man, Half Machine'/'Self Suicide' is out on April 19.
