added 16 December 2004 at 16.55

Following the news of a new album ‘Some Cities’ and single from the band, Doves have revealed news of a full headlining UK tour taking place in February and March next year.

Doves are currently in the midst of a handful of intimate sold out Christmas shows around the UK, but Xfm can now reveal that the band will be returning to the road in February, March and April for their biggest UK tour to date.

The 21 date jaunt will include gigs in Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and a show at the Brixton Academy in London on March 30.

The band have also released details of a new single for 2005 entitled ‘Black And White Town’ which is to be released on February 7 2005 on Heavenly Recordings/EMI.

The track will be the first single to be taken from Doves highly-anticipated third album ‘Some Cities’ (the follow up to 2002’s acclaimed ‘Last Broadcast’) which follows the single on February 21.

Tickets for the tour will be available from the Xfm Xchange on 0871 222 1049 or online from the Xfm Online Ticketshop by clicking here.
