Black Sabbath Set To Reform With Ozzy?

added 01 April 2004 at 10.17

Ozzy Osbourne has reportedly confirmed that in a radio interview that talks are underway for a possible Black Sabbath reunion. Asked during an interview if there was any truth to reports that Sabbath are in negotiations to reunite, Ozzy replied "I believe so." Surely he'd know, being the lead singer and all?

Speaking to nationally syndicated US radio show 'Rockline' last night (Wednesday 31), Ozzy hinted that the reunion may take place during the stateside leg of this year's travelling festival Ozzfest.

Ozzy couldn't confirm or deny the rumour that ex-Sabbath bassplayer Geezer Butler was once again part of his solo band, explaining he didn't want to give anything away for fear of being shouted at by wife and manager Sharon.

Should Black Sabbath play at this year's Ozzfest it is unconfirmed as to whether they would replace Ozzy as headliners or play separate sets.

It seems unlikely that Ozzfest will make it to the UK this year with the Download festival returning to Donnington on June 5-6. However, keep checking Xfm's Online Festival Guide for all the latest lineup news and rumours.
