Ash Join The Hunt For Missing Fan

Ash have joined the search for an Ash fan who went missing after seeing the band in Sydney last month. The band have issued a statement requesting that anyone with information to come forward immediately.
The parents of the missing Northampton backpacker Sean Kennedy have appealed for help finding their son after he went missing following an Ash gig on July 29 at Sydney’s Metro Theatre.
The band have released the following statement,
“We are all deeply shocked by the news that Sean Kennedy disappeared from our show at The Metro in Sydney last Thursday.
“We'd like to encourage any of our fans that attended the show who saw or heard anything, regarding Sean's disappearance, to contact the police immediately.
“Our thoughts are with Sean's family and friends.
Tim, Mark, Charlotte and Rick”
Mrs Kennedy said: "Sean is the kind of son any parent would be proud of. He’s considerate and very funny. He has a great sense of humour. He’s a gentle giant who wouldn’t want to hurt anyone, he’s such a likable person. We both spoke with him on the Saturday before his disappearance. He was in great form.
“He’s been really loving his time in Sydney and had settled into his life in the city. He also told us he was really looking forward to seeing this Irish band, Ash, play on Thursday night."
Detective Inspector Dave Egan-Lee, said: "It is out-of-character for Sean to disappear and cease all contact with his family. We have made a number of inquiries, including checks of financial records, and his bank accounts have not been touched since his disappearance.
"Last night we also carried out an extensive canvass near the nightclub where Sean was last seen. During this canvass we showed photographs of Sean to prompt the memories of people who may have information about him.
"As a result of the canvass we are following up an unconfirmed sighting of Sean at a neighbouring nightclub on Thursday night last week."
