X-clusive: Good Charlotte Hit The UK

After the massive success of their last album 'The Young & The Hopeless' American rockers Good Charlotte have revealed they will be undertaking a full UK tour this winter before completing their next record.
Vocalist Joel Madden and his twin brother guitarist Benji spoke exclusively to Xfm Online after a week that included appearing at the Carling Weekender festival ("One of the best festivals we've ever done"), winning a Kerrang! award ("It was a good night. It was awesome, we didn't think we were gonna win") and their hectic schedule.
"After this? We go back to America, get some sleep - I haven't had any sleep for a couple of days," explained Benji, "Then we tour in the US for a couple of months then come back here late November or December and do a month in the UK and Europe.
"Then we have time for a couple of days off for Christmas, then go back out on tour and finish the rest of the world then we're done. We'll be exhausted but it'll be fun though. Then we'll be ready to finish the new record."
Joel went on to claim that despite the band's numerous touring commitments, Good Charlotte would definitely have a new album out in under a year,
"We'll have a new record coming out next summer." He explained, "So far, it's sounding good. What's it gonna sound like? It's gonna be Good Charlotte, but better than the last one. We'll always sound like us but it might all get a little harder. Like us, just more hard as Billy's [guitarist] getting a little more technical on his guitar".
No tour dates have been officially confirmed as yet, but Xfm Online will bring you all the news as and when we hear it.
