Tricky Invites You Back To His

added 05 August 2003 at 10.32

Bristolian space cake Tricky is the latest artist to join a list that includes Groove Armada, Underworld, The Orb, Morcheeba and Orbital by being asked to collate one of DMC Records' famous 'Back To Mine' mix compilation albums.

The celebrated series asks famous musicians to collect their favourite 'after the pubs shut' albums from their own record collections. Previous releases have included albums complied by such luminaries as Faithless, Everything But The Girl and Talvin Singh amongst others.

Tricky's set of tunes range from The Cure to The Buzzcocks to Kate Bush as well as featuring some exclusive tracks from acts off his own Brown Punk record label including songs by Little Kings and Constanza.

Tricky himself has said of the album,  "This is a mixture of stuff I grew up on and what I'm listening to now… I used to make loads of compilation tapes and I just haven't had time for years so this has been a real pleasure".

Tricky's compilation is due out September 15 with the Audio Bullys pencilled in to compile the next edition (which will be DMC Records' 15th 'Back to Mine' album) sometime in October.
