Following a year of gentle recording and recuperation after drummer Neil Primrose damaged his spine, Travis have finally completed and named their new album and single, and Xfm Online also has the exclusive on the release date.

According to a message from Travis frontman Fran Healy on the band's official website, the new record will be entitled  '12 Memories' and it will be preceded by a new single called 'Re-Offender'. He writes,

"Hello all, we are in Tokyo. All is well. Summer Sonic was summery and very sonic. Right. OK. Announcement. OFFICIAL. Straight from the horse's mouth. First things first. Travis will release their first single on 29th September and its called 'Re-Offender'.

"Secondly the new album is called '12 Memories' and will be available in October. That's all for now. More details will follow soon. Sorry it's so short but we are late for a very important date. Must dash. Speak soon. Luv Fran xxx."

Xfm Online can also reveal that '12 Memories' will be released in the UK on October 13.

Songs expected to be included on the record include 'Beautiful Occupation', 'Peace The Fuck Out', 'Definition Of Wrong' and 'How Many Hearts', some of which were played at the band's recent UK shows earlier this year.
