The Basement Jaxx Are Baxx

Brixton's favourite beat duo Basement Jaxx have revealed details of the follow up album to their 2001 sophomore release 'Rooty', including collaborations with Siouxsie And The Banshees' punk legend Siouxsie Sioux and The Bellrays' Lisa Kekaula.
The Jaxx - Simon Ratcliffe and Felix Burton - have reportedly nearly completed the album, entitled 'Kish Kash', which is expected to be released on October 20.
According to a statement from the band, with 'Rooty' they "F**ked house music up the arse", now with the new album Basement Jaxx expect to, "F**k with your heads," explaining, "Taking in punk, funk, electro and northern soul the Jaxx have produced an astoundingly intense, ugly and beautiful ride from start to finish."
In a similar vein to their previous albums the outfit have roped in a horde of collaborators. The first single off the album 'Lucky Star' (which will be released November 10) features Dizzee Rascal, while Siouxsie Sioux, Lisa Kekaula from The Bellrays, soul diva Meshell Ndegeocello and (bizarrely) N*Sync singer JC Chasez all feature on other tracks.
The band are expected to be on tour next year, but no dates have been finalised as yet.
