Placebo Release Special Covers Album
Placebo are re-releasing their acclaimed last album 'Sleeping With Ghosts', but this new edition will feature a special extra disc comprised of a collection of cover versions.
The special edition, 2-disc version of the album (originally released in March) will be distributed through Hut Recordings on September 22. Disc 1 features all the original tracks from the album including 'Bitter End', 'This Picture' and the band's new single 'Special Needs' which hits shops on September 8.
The second disc is a covers album that features songs as diverse as the band's as yet unreleased version of Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill' and Serge Gainsbourg's 'The Ballad Of Melody Nelson' (not to mention their near-legendary cover of The Pixies' 'Where Is My Mind'.
Having completed an extensive world tour taking in Europe, the US, Australasia, Placebo will be playing a series of dates in Asia early next year.
