Jane's Addiction Documentary On The Way

‘Three Days’, the legendary "warts-and-all" documentary on LA alt rock pioneers Jane's Addiction is set to be released later this year, coinciding with their European tour and a special new limited edition release.
The documentary (or ‘rockumentary’ if you will), written and directed by Kevon Ford and Carter B. Smith, was filmed during the band's last attempt at a comeback in 1997, and will be released on DVD October 7.
Alongside footage and interviews with the band themselves (Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro and Stephen Perkins) there are also appearances by Red Hot Chili Peppers members Anthony Kiedis, Flea and John Frusciante, Val Kilmer, Jewel (?), Marilyn Manson, Dennis Rodman, Alyssa Milano and Eddie Vedder.
"Our documentary coverage of Jane's Addiction focuses on their Relapse Tour as a metaphor for popular culture at the end of the 20th Century," Smith told Launch, sounding like a something of a wanker, "In reuniting for their first tour in six years, Jane's Addiction was able to arouse an excitement for rock 'n' roll music that had been dormant for nearly 30 years."
Elsewhere the band are playing their first European tour in over a decade including a date at the Brixton Academy on Halloween, something that frontman Perry Farrell seem quite excited about,
“We look forward to coming to Europe and the UK for our first proper tour in 13 years.” he explained, “We had a ball at Leeds and Reading Festival last year and can't wait to get in front of the British audiences again. I can promise a very KINKY party, hell we've even got an extension at Brixton Academy to make sure the party SLITHERS ALONG till 2am in the morning!"
To celebrate the tour, Parlophone Records will release a new single entitled ‘True Nature’ on October 27. It's expected to be available in special collector’s formats with special bonus tracks, including a live version of the band’s classic track ‘Been Caught Stealing’.
