Echo and the Bunnymen Tour Once More

added 06 August 2003 at 15.52

Modest, shy and humble Liverpudlian outift Echo and the Bunnymen are celebrating their 25th Anniversary by announcing that they will be doing a series of special reunion gigs this November.

Buoyed by a resurgence in popularity and recognition thanks in part to the eulogies of Chris Martin and Coldplay, this winter will see Ian McCulloch and Will Sergeant's outfit rising again to celebrate the passing of a quarter of a century since their formation in 1978,

The 80's indie legends will be playing six dates, taking in two European gigs in Amsterdam and Brussels, but centering around the UK where they will play Dublin, Glasgow and (not surprisingly) Liverpool before a show at the Shepherds Bush Empire in London.

Tickets for the UK shows are £15.00 (except London which is £17.50) and are available from the Xfm Xchange on 0870 121 1049 and online from the Xfm Live Gig Guide by clicking here.

Plans are also underway to issue remastered versions of the group's first five albums. No exact dates are available as yet, however rumours suggest an October release for the works.

Echo and the Bunnymen's full tour dates are:

  • Dublin Vicar Street (November 26)
  • Glasgow Barrowlands (28)
  • Liverpool Royal Court Theatre (29)
  • London Shepherds Bush Empire (30)
  • Amsterdam, Paradiso (December 2)
  • Brussels, Ancienne Belgique (3)
