Just Jack is a 27 year old MC born and raised in North London's cultural melting pot. So it's perhaps unsurprising that his debut album, 'The Outer Marker', is steeped in a such wide variety of styles and forms.
It's all street level stuff though, chronicling the city's lives and loves as and how they happen, along with the likes of The Streets and the Audio Bullys, Jack is one of a new breed of urban poets, assimilating the unprecedented breadth of cultural influences in modern cities and telling the stories that surround them with as much honesty and insight as possible.
'The Outer Marker's been out a couple of months now, but it's still an essential listen for fans of raw Brit hip-hop, and in a rare glimpse of an RIAA-less world you can now download the whole album, plus artwork and ringtone, for an entirely reasonable £6.99.
