Basement Jaxx Preview New Album

Nearly a month ahead of its official release date, Brixtonian beat brethren Basement Jaxx have set up an exclusive pre-release playback of tracks from their forthcoming new album ‘Kish Kash’.

To access the songs punters need a CD of either of The Jaxx past albums 'Remedy' or 'Rooty', go to http://www.basementjaxx.co.uk insert the disc and enter their details. For each album that you possess, you’ll be able to hear 2 new tracks.Sso if you own both, you get to hear 4 new tracks off ‘Kish Kash’.

At present the tracks are only available to Mac OS9 and PC users only and the tracks will only be availble for two weeks, though the duo’s record company XL has also stated that when ‘Kish Kash’ is released, there will be more exclusive material on the site for those who have copies of the new album.

As previously reported The Jaxx - Simon Ratcliffe and Felix Buxton - will be releasing 'Kish Kash' on October 20 and have lined up a horde of collaborators for the tracklisting. The first single off the album 'Lucky Star' (which will be released November 10) features Mercury Award winner Dizzee Rascal, while Siouxsie Sioux, Lisa Kekaula from The Bellrays, soul diva Meshell Ndegeocello and (bizarrely) N*Sync singer JC Chasez all feature on other tracks.

A full eight-date UK tour will follow the album's release, with the band undertaking four 'compass point' gigs in London - one North, one South, one East and one West - from December 10, 11, 12 and 13.
