Basement Jaxx Are Baxx On The Road

added 15 September 2003 at 12.13

Following the release of the follow-up to their 2001 sophomore album 'Rooty', Basement Jaxx will be undertaking a series of UK dates including four very special London gigs spread across the city.

The Jaxx - Simon Ratcliffe and Felix Buxton will be releasing the new record 'Kish Kash' on October 20 and have lined up a horde of collaborators for the tracklisting. The first single off the album 'Lucky Star' (which will be released November 10) features Mercury Award winner Dizzee Rascal, while Siouxsie Sioux, Lisa Kekaula from The Bellrays, soul diva Meshell Ndegeocello and (bizarrely) N*Sync singer JC Chasez all feature on other tracks.

A full eight-date UK tour will follow the album's release, with the band undertaking four 'compass point' gigs in London - one North, one South, one East and one West - from December 10, 11, 12 and 13.

The full list of dates are:

  • Bristol Carling Academy (December 3)
  • Birmingham Carling Academy (4)
  • Leeds University Union (6)
  • Newcastle Northumbria University (8)
  • London Forum (10)
  • London Brixton Fridge (11)
  • London Hammersmith Palais (12)
  • London Hackney Ocean (13)
