AC/DC Play Rare London Date

added 08 October 2003 at 13.01

The undisputed kings of all that is rock and indeed roll, AC/DC have announced details of a very rare, and surprisingly intimate headlining show in London later this month.

The riff-tastic Aussie outfit will no doubt be bringing their stage set of cannons, giant bells and 50ft fire breathing gold statues of Angus Young to the Carling Apollo in Hammersmith West London on October 21.

Tickets for the concert go on sale on Monday, October 13. Keep checking Xfm Online for more details.

AC/DC’s last UK appearance was supporting the Rolling Stones at their Twickenham Stadium show last month.

The band have recently re-released all their classic albums in digitally re-mastered form and a new DVD, entitled ‘AC/DC - No Bull Live/Stiff Upper Lip’ will be hitting shops on November 3.

The DVD includes footage of the band in concert in Madrid in 1996 and in Munich in 2001 featuring such classic tunes as 'Back In Black', 'Ballbreaker', 'Whole Lotta Rosie', 'Thunderstruck', 'Shot Down In Flames', ‘You Shook Me All Night Long’ and ‘Highway To Hell’.
