My Bloody Valentine To Release Two New Albums

A good seventeen years after 1991's 'Loveless', shoegaze masters My Bloody Valentine will record not one but two new albums.
Following their set at All Tomorrow's Parties in New York last Sunday (September 21), front man Kevin Shields let slip he wants the Irish post-punk legends to record two new records.
He told The New York Times: "I realised that all that stuff I was going in 1996 and 1997 was a lot better than I thought. I definitely don't think you need to suffer to be creative. I've written some of my best songs when I've been happy."
My Bloody Valentine reunited in 2007 and played a series of festivals across the globe this summer, as well as a three date stint of the UK.
Shields added: "We had intentions to do new stuff when we started rehearsing. But it was about finding who we were again, and that became way more important than anything intellectual."
The band will finish the uncomplete recordings from 1996 and 1997, before working on a completely new album this autumn.
