Manson Sued for 'Wrongful Death'

Syme died on April 1st in a car crash following a party at Manson’s house. Her mother, Maria St. John, has filed a wrongful death suit against Manson, claiming that he supplied her with cocaine and then allowed her to drive. Syme crashed her Jeep into three parked cars in central Hollywood in the early hours of the morning. Having been driven home earlier by an acquaintance she then attempted to return to the party. An investigation has revealed that two rolled up dollar bills covered in a white powder was found in the car, alongside bottles of muscle relaxant cyclobenzaprine and the anticonvulsant clonazepam.

Manson, real name Brian Warner, has released a statement saying:

"Words cannot express the pain that I feel over the loss of Jennifer Syme's life. After Jennifer was sent home safely with a designated driver, she later got behind the wheel of her own car for reasons known only to her. Her death is sad and tragic."

St.John is seeking unspecified damages and legal fees through the suit. He is already due to appear in court in Michigan at the end of the month to face charges of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, assault and battery.

The news comes as the prolific shock rocker seeks to expand his artistic abilities. He has accepted the part of ‘Christina’ in the forthcoming movie Party Monster, which is based on the story of double murderer Michael Alig, and commences filming this month.

Manson has also just announced details of his first art exhibition. In a journal entry on his website, www.marilynmanson.com, he said that he had been busy working on paintings for a show in Los Angeles this August, and is also working on his first novel.
