Lou Reed and Metallica Unveil Collaboration

It's called Lulu and will be out October 31...
The collaborators have posted on a new website how the project came about, saying Lulu "was inspired by German expressionist writer Frank Wededkind's plays "Earth Spirit" and "Pandora's Box," which tell a story of a young abused dancer's life and relationships."
Lou Reed had used the plays to create the music for a theatrical production in Berlin but after working with Metallica for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame concerts in 2009 the singer decided to ask the boys to join him on the project.
The ten songs were recorded in California early this year.
Lulu is out October 31.
