Camden Crawl The Xfm Way

Make sure you check out all of Xfm's top tips to help you get the best from your Camden Crawl.
Camden Crawl like any festival can be wagons of fun, but only if you know how to make the most of it.
Check out all Xfm's top tips below to saving time, avoiding queues, staying safe and having a bloody good time!
- Don't try and plan to see everything. Pick a few venues which are showing your favourite bands and stick to them. If you try and hop between too many venues you'll end up spending your Crawl in queues.
- Queues for popular shows get massive and with limited capacities can't let everyone in. If there's an act you really want to see make sure you get there nice and early (at least an hour or two). You might even end up seeing a crackin' band you've never seen before whilst you wait.
- Take public transport (see our transportation user guide). Parking is a nightmare and you'll end up walking most the way.
- Print this map and shove it in your pocket for the weekend, trust us, it will come in handy.
- Don't booze it up on the streets. Yes, its a festival (good times) but the police will be out in force as well and can give you an on the spot for up to £500 (bad times).
- Pick a spot to meet your friends if you lose each other. It can get really busy and sometimes phone networks can get jammed up.
- Watch out for pick pockets and only bring along what you absolutely need for the day. Leave your ipods at home and keep your phones and cash in your front pockets (not back pockets, that's easy picking fodder).
- Use licensed mini cabs only. It seriously isn't worth the risk of jumping in a "cab" with some chancer.
- Bring a little brolly - you never know when it's gonna start pissing it down.
