Garvey And Potter To Collaborate With Tuner And Kane

Front man of Mercury Music Prize winners Elbow, Guy Garvey, and band mate Craig Potter are planning to join forces with The Last Shadow Puppets.
Fresh from picking up the Mercury Music Prize on Tuesday night (September 9), Garvey told The Daily Star he intends to work with the side-project of Alex Turner and Miles Kane.
He said: “There is something on the cards for me and Craig to work with Miles and Alex. They’re top blokes and you have to enjoy the creative process.”
Last Shadow Puppets member and The Rascals leader Miles Kane also revealed there’s a possibility his full-time band’s next record will be produced by Garvey.
Kane revealed: “I’m writing the second Rascals album at the moment. I was thinking of doing it with Guy because I love his band.”
Meanwhile, Elbow are currently putting together an album’s worth of material by their late friend, Bryan Glancy, who was the inspiration behind the band’s ‘The Seldom Seen Kid’.

This is such exciting news! I was lucky enough to attend the Mercury Music awards last week. I was rootin for Elbow and so glad they won. However when the show started up with the Last Shadow Puppets I was swept away; they are very special. So glad they are getting together! I wish their individual bands well too - I have seen the Rascals live and they are a top band! This is the best of times for talent ;-)
