Franz Finish Up 'Dancefloor Friendly' New Album

Scot art-rockers Franz Ferdinand have completed work on their third album, revealing it sounds a whole lot less "like a teenager having sex." Their words.
The as-yet untitled new album is due out early next year, which will come four years afer 2005's 'You Could Have It So Much Better'.
Lead singer/guitarist Alex Kapranos told the BBC his band have moved away from the conventional rock album.
He said: "The last record was fast, furious, frantic, 150 beats per minute. It was like a teenager having sex. This one's a bit more assured and a bit friendlier for the dancefloor. It's about 104/105bpm.
"It does sound different and there are different instruments on the record, different tempos, a diffeent attitude to making it. But it's always going to sound like a Franz Ferdinand record when it's the four of us making it. It's very much a dance record again this time."
Guitarist Nick McCarthy and drummer Paul Thomson recently told Xfm of how the new album was almost called 'Mass Global Whitey'.
