Exclusive: Futureheads Up On New Album Details

Speaking exclusively to Xfm at last Thursday's Big Night Out, headliners The Futureheads revealed details of their new album and discussed their growing success since going it alone.
Bassist David "Jaff" Craig told Xfm what we should expect from their forthcoming album, 'This Is Not The World':
"'Twist' was a good choice of first single as the rest is similar; it's pretty direct, sing-a-long choruses and shouty bits. We're really pleased with it."
The band found themselves without a label after being dropped by 679 following the release of 2006's 'News And Tributes'.
Since setting up Nul Recordings - a new label solely for Futureheads action - it appears sticking two fingers up at the record industry was the right move, explained Ross Millard:
"We're doing away with convention and looking at selling our record in a different, more original way. It appeals to our fans because it's a great story. It's like we've dusted ourselves off and gone away and made a record that is better than the other two."
He added: "It's rare that that happens and it's pretty exciting because it's a time of great change for the record industry and the success of 'Twist' has been a great start for us."
'Radio Heart' - the next single from the new album - was according to Jaff completed in record time: "written and done and dusted in about three hours" - and is due for release on May 19 with the album hitting our shelves on May 26.
In addition to their headlining V festival slot, Ross and Jaff continued that Glasto and other European dates are pencilled in with Bestival on the wishlist.
