Dave Grohl To Get Street Named After Him

added 13 October 2008 at 16.05

A petition to get the Foo Fighters front man a street in his hometown named after him has been approved. ‘Learn to fly’ to ‘Dave Grohl Alley’…

What is presently ‘Market Alley’ in Grohl’s hometown of Warren, Ohio, will soon become ‘Dave Grohl Alley’, thanks to a local campaign.

The petition was organised by local radio DJ Fast Freddie and police sergeant Joe O’Grady.

Local newspaper The Tribune Chronicle reports the plans could have been rubbished due to fears over costs, however the move has since been approved by the local Warren council.

A dedication ceremony to mark the street name change will be held, of which Grohl has been invited to.
