Blur Play Tiny 100 Club Gig

The band warm up for their Hyde Park show with an intimate set.
Blur played an intimate show at London's 100 Club last night (August 2) as part of a series of warm up shows for their Olympic closing ceremony date.
The band played the tiny venue in Oxford Street as part of the Converse Represent gigs and dipped into their extensive back catalogue, with such album tracks as Bugman from 13 and Colin Zeal and Advert from 1993's Modern Life Is Rubbish . They also performed live versions of the two new Blur tracks, Under The Westway and The Puritan.

The band are due to play Hyde Park on August 12 as part of the Olympics closing ceremony show. They play further warm up dates at Wolverhampton Civic Hall on August 5 and 6 and Plymouth Pavilions on the 7th.
This weekend, Xfm will celebrate the genius of Albarn, Coxon, James and Rowntree with stacks o'Blur. On Saturday night's Best Of Xfm show at 7pm Claire Sturgess will be playing highlights from the previously unbroadcast July 2nd 2009 Blur set from their epic Hyde Park reunion show. Meanwhile, on Smart on Sunday from 12noon, Gordon Smart has an exclusive in depth interview with Damon looking back on 21 years one of the UK's best ever bands.
