Towers Of London Biography

Known more for their tabloid antics and lead singer Donny Tourette's spell in Celebrity Big Brother than for their musical contributions, Towers of London combine 80s hair metal's hedonistic charm with high octane punk vibes and a heavy shot of rock n roll debauchery.

Formed in the late '90s by brothers Donny and Dirk Tourette (real names Patrick and Francis Brannan) the group soon expanded with the addition of lead guitarist the Rev, bassist Tommy Brunette, and drummer Snell.

The group inked a deal with TVT Records in 2005, releasing the singles 'How Rude She Was,' 'Fuck It Up,' 'Air Guitar,' and 'On a Noose.'

Their full-length debut, 'Blood Sweat and Towers', arrived in the summer of 2006 with limited success.

The often ridiculed band became tabloid fodder when they agreed to a Spinal Tap-esque rockumentary entitled 'Towers Of London' which aired on Bravo over a period of three months.

Lead singer Donny subsequently agreed to appear on Celebrity Big Brother, damanging the band's credibility further, although Donny did salvage some respect when he walked out after two days to avoid playing a servant to Jade Goody.

The move was a mistake for the band who subsequently lost their lead guitarist The Rev, their drummer Snell and their record deal with TVT.

Despite attempts to recruit new members, including Sadie Frost's sometime love Kristian Marr, the band have yet to recover and have yet to release any new material.

Meanwhile The Rev went on to play lead guitar for bands such as The Prodigy and Sham 69.
