REM Big Up The Flaming Lips

Mike Mills chooses ‘Do You Realize’ as the band’s Song Of The Decade - “It’s something Lennon might have done”
The Flaming Lips’ anthem, ‘Do You Realize’, has been declared R.E.M.’s Song Of The Decade. Mike Mills, the band’s bass player, has told Xfm that it has all the qualities he loves about music, along with being reminiscent of another bespectacled musician.
"I’m liking 'Do You Realize", said Mills. "It's beautiful, it’s moving and it reminds me of something John Lennon might have done if he’d stuck around a bit longer".
