As Mudhoney celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut 'Superfuzz Bigmuff' with the release of deluxe re-issue and their new album, 'The Lucky Ones', guitarist Steve Turner spoke exclusively to Xfm about what's new chez 'honey.

Did you realise you were part of something special?

"We knew there was a lot of cool things happening...Sub Pop got organised..." [Listen To Full Answer]

How did the Seattle scene come together?

"It was really straight out of hardcore...we met The Melvins there..." [Listen To Full Answer]

Mudhoney didn't make it as big as some of the other Seattle bands. Does that bother you at all?

"Have you heard our records? There's a limited appeal...we're amazed how well we've done." [Listen To Full Answer]

Your sound is quite filthy and gnarly. Was that a conscious decision?

"Starting from Ron Asheton's guitar tone on the first Stooges record..." [Listen To Full Answer]

How do you guys feel about your legacy?

"That's for other people to view...I think we've made pleanty of O.K records..." [Listen To Full Answer]

Tell us about the new album. It seems to have gone back to the core your original sound...

"It wasn't necessarily planned to be like that but it happened..." [Listen To Full Answer]

What is the direction of the new album? It seems like you just want to rock out...

What keeps Mudhoney motivated after all this time?

Are you touring the U.K? What can fans expect?
