In an exclusive interview with Xfm, the hippest band in all the land, Arctic Monkeys, tell all about their brand new DVD 'Live At The Apollo'...

Like all mega-huge indie bands, Arctic Monkeys have decided to release their very first live dvd. Titled 'Arctic Monkeys: Live At The Apollo', the film captures the band trailing through tracks from both 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I Am Not' and 'Favourite Worst Nightmare' in front of a packed out Manchester Apollo.

Xfm met up with the band to get the lowdown...

Why did you decide to release the DVD now?

"We were waiting for the Blu-Ray v HD dvd thing to clear up..." [Listen To Answer]

Are you happy with how you appear on the DVD?

"Sometimes you think 'Aint my face massive?'..." [Listen To Answer]

Were you influenced by other music DVDs?

"The Last Waltz? - We took a little bit of an influence from that..." [Listen To Answer]

Were you worried about making a mistake whilst performing?

"There was that feeling that if you make a mistake it's there forever..." [Listen To Answer]

How's the new album coming along?

"We've just started it really. It's going very well..." [Listen To Answer]

Do you prefer being filmed playing live or a documentary?

"It's easier to be filmed playing live than an on-the-road documentary..." [Listen To Answer]

What would you change about your live show?

"I'd like to do more American kind of facials. Sort of Bon Jovi stuff..." [Listen To Answer]

Do you find anything difficult about wathcing it?

"When I speak it's difficult. I wish each of them would of been a sentence shorter..." [Listen To Answer]

Why did you choose the Manchester Apollo?

"The big gigs at the cricket ground in the summer weren't suitable..." [Listen To Answer]

Are you planning more with the Last Shadow Puppets?

"It's a very touchy subject. We just had a very terrible argument one afternoon. It was all just out of spite..." [Listen To Answer]

Did it feel like you were apart during the Last Shadow Puppets promotion?

"It doesn't really feel like we went apart. But of course it always feels great to be together..."[Listen To Answer]
