Queens Of The Stone Age on 'Era Vulgaris'

added 09 July 2007 at 11.52

Rock's coolest front man Josh Homme spoke exclusively to John Kennedy about the Queens long awaited new album.

After a couple of years pursuing other things in his life like drumming for Eagles Of Death Metal and becoming a father for the first time with partner Brody Dalle, Josh Homme has finally returned to doing what his does best, fronting the awe-inspiring Queens Of The Stone Age.

Previous album 'Lullabies To Paralyze' was Josh's first since parting ways with long term partner and collaborator Nick Oliveri and saw the band exploring many new styles and sounds. 'Era Vulgaris' continues this experimentation but also the band return to their sleazy, swaggering best with tracks like 'Battery Acid' and 'I'm Designer'.

Speaking to John Kennedy about the past couple of years, Josh talks about fatherhood, bettering himself with every album and how he's now trying to sing in new ways. [listen]
