Klaxons On 'Myths Of The Near Future'

One of the most eagerly awaited debut albums of 2007 is given the full track by track treatment in this exclusive interview with John Kennedy.
Having emerged just over year ago through posting three excellent demos on their Myspace page, the Klaxons have become one of the countries best loved new bands.
Fusing electro with rock, soul and strong pop sensibilites the Klaxons have gone way beyond their original and false incarnation of being dubbed 'New-Rave', a label the band invented themselves to describe a couple of their more club friendly tunes and was quickly adopted by lazy journalists who needed a latest buzzword.
Their debut album 'Myths Of Near Future' displays a huge range of styles and influences all cut and pasted together to create a record that is truly original and likely to be one of the year's best releases.
Half-way through headlining a sold out NME Awards Tour and just before they take Klaxons stateside, core members Jamie, James and Simon spoke at length to John Kennedy about the bands roots, laying down most of the album in three weeks and why recording can be like rehab.
