Interpol On 'Our Love To Admire'

added 09 July 2007 at 11.56

With a sublime new album out, Paul Banks and Daniel Kessler spoke exclusively about it in full detail with John Kennedy.

One of the finest bands to have emerged in this decade, Interpol have escaped early comparisons of being a new Joy Division and become one of the best loved and most respected acts around with both their legion of fans and musical peers.

Debut 'Turn On The Bright Lights' was like an overdue shot in the arm and follow up 'Antics' was easily one of 2004's finest records with singles such as 'Slow Hands' and 'Evil' furthering their appeal even more.

After a three year abscence Interpol finally return with the hugely anticipated 'Our Love To Admire' which displays them exploring new sounds and furthering the ground work they set out on their first two records. Speaking to John Kennedy front man Paul Banks and guitarist Daniel Kessler explain why they needed some time out and how their slow but productive studio process works. [listen]
