At The Lake Biography
Matt Forder (vocals), James Machin (guitar), Tim Buckland (guitar), Shaun Cairns (bass), and Warren Peddie (drums) dream up the dazzling melodies of At the Lake. The London indie rock group came together in 2004, and within a year, At the Lake was wooing fans in and around their native England. A successful performance alongside the likes of Kasabian and Babyshambles at the Wireless Festival in Hyde Park in summer 2005 also added to At the Lake's growing buzz. By December, At the Lake issued their first single, 'These Days.' BBC Radio hosts Steve Lamacq and Zane Lowe both praised the band's melodic, Britpop-influenced sound. Summer shows in the U.K. coincided with the release of At the Lake's second single, 'I Made My Excuses and Left,' in July. ~ MacKenzie Wilson, All Music Guide
