The Alex Turner-led Sheffield four-piece with a way with words and an ear for a killer tune.
Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme has called the new Arctic Monkeys album a "sexy after-midnight record".
He contributed vocals to a track on AM', which is out in September.
Speaking at the Rock For People festival at Hradec Kralove in the Czech Republic (via NME ) he said he was pleased to be involved.
" It's a really cool, sexy after-midnight record. It's called AM, so I guess that's really obvious. And it's really good. It's really good. It's not disco [as such], but it's like a modern, dancefloor sexy record. It's really good."
It seems he was paying back the favour after Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner lent his talents to the latest QOTSA record ...Like Clockwork.
The record has been re-released on an 8GB USB Flash Drive, which doubles up as a bottle opener.
...Like Clockwork reached number 2 in the album charts following its conventional release a few weeks ago - their highest ever chart position.
