Delphic Biography
Formed in Manchester in 2008, Delphic are an electronic indie act comprising of vocalist James Cook, multi-instrumentalist Richard Boardman, guitarist Matt Cocksedge, and drummer Dan Theman. Signed to Polydor in early 2009, the band's single 'Counterpoint' was an immedate success and caused much of a buzz thanks to its production work by noted remixer Ewan Pearson.
Following a hefty summer of festivals and touring - including a support slot with Bloc Party at the iTunes Festival in July 2009 - the band's next single 'This Momentary' was released on the ultra cool Kitsune label in August.
The band played Xfm's Winter Wonderland at the Manchester Academy in December 2009 and their full-length debut album 'Acolyte' was released on January 11.
