Kooks Bassist Quits

After leaving the band a few times, Kooks bassist Max Rafferty has quit the band. And this time - he means it!
Rafferty has been absent from the band on a number of occasions thanks to illness but this time his departure is for good.
A statement from the band said:
“Max Rafferty has parted company with The Kooks - the band will be continuing with the forthcoming shows. Dan Logan, bassist with local Brighton band Cat The Dog, will be filling in for the short-term.”
It's all a bit ironic given that Rafferty is given prominance in advertisements for their upcoming tour.
The Kooks' second album 'Konk' is out on April 14 and their UK tour is scheduled to kick off on April 22 in Manchester.
Tickets go on sale at 9am Friday 1 Feb from the Xfm Xchange on 0871 222 1049 or from the Xfm Online Ticket Shop here.
The Kooks' tour dates are:
- Manchester Apollo (April 22)
- Swindon Oasis (23)
- Newport Centre (24)
- Hull Arena (25)
- Birmingham Carling Academy (27)
- Sheffield Carling Academy (28)
- Edinburgh Corn Exchange (29)
- London Brixton Academy (May 1,2)
- Plymouth Pavilions (3)
