Imagine Oasis recording a new song with Franz Ferdinand, Coldplay splitting up, The Stone Roses reforming or Babyshambles announcing a secret show in your living room – and you didn’t know about it.  Imagine the shame.  Imagine the humiliation. 

Luckily help is at hand.  You need never experience this abject misery and risk possible ostracism from your friends and family – thanks to the all-new Xfm News Text Alerts.

The biggest music news, as it breaks, sent straight to your handset by Xfm’s news crew. You’ll have Kate Moss stalking you for gig info, you might find out about about Chris Martin leaving his band before he does, and you’ll be able to warn your neighbours before Pete Doherty gets time to plug in his guitars.

All you have to do to get started just text XFMNEWS to 83XFM.

Each Xfm News alert costs 25p and in an average week, you’ll get approximately three messages, depending on who’s done what.  Of course during festival season you may get more as you’ll wanna know ticket details and who headlining when (fear not, we’ll spare you info like 'Bongwater to play the Millets Tent at 11.15am') and there are times when most bands will have retired into the studio or rehab – so there may be only one or even no messages that week.

But if you don’t find the service useful, just unsubscribe by texting XFMNEWSOFF to 83XFM.

Xfm will not be liable for any delays in the receipt of any SMS messages as delivery is subject to effective transmission from your network operator.  By subscribing to the Xfm News service, you consent to receive, from time to time, further text messages (for which there will be no charge) from Xfm and its partners.  Xfm will not pass your mobile or other personal details to any third party without your consent.
