Suede's ‘New Morning’

After a catalogue of set backs, and false starts, and a rumoured £1 million spent, the fifth Suede album ‘A New Morning’ is finally ready for release.

It has taken the band two years to complete their new album, and in that time they have used four different producers, seven different recording studios, and spent over £1 million. They also ditched an entire album of songs recorded with Tony Hoffer (Beck)

Despite all this and keyboard player Neil Coding quitting the band, Suede are finally ready to release ‘A New Morning’ recorded with legendary producer Stephen Street (Blur)

Speaking with Xfm last month Street described the album as “more song based than the last album”. He said: “Last time they were playing with programming drums and stuff and trying to go down a different avenue but I think this is a return to classic song construction”.

‘A New Morning’ is expected in the shops in September with a single out in August.
