Tin Pan Alley Festival Announced

Denmark Street in London is once again playing host to the annual Tin Pan Alley Festival raising awareness for Homeless Charity Shelter and including performances by The Subways, Art Brut and Do Me Bad Things.
The event will take place at Tin Pan Alley London, WC2, the centre of London’s music shop district on July 17 and will run from 11am till 9pm, with (wait for it) completely free entry for all.
Included in the day will be shows from The Subways, Art Brut, sometime Buzzcock guitarist Steve Diggle, Cherubs, Do Me Bad Things, Thee Unstrung, Metro Riots, Ludes and the winner of Virtual Festivals special band competition.
And the whole event is being compered by Xfm’s very own
wonderful John Kennedy
The event has been organised by Denmark Street’s Tin Pan Alley rehearsal studios with a view to drawing attention to the Homeless Charity Shelter. Festival organiser Kate Greenslade said in a statement.
“When Governments no longer represent the public it’s up to us to find new avenues to get our voices heard. Music is one such avenue.
”Young bands and their music can act as a catalyst to inform people of what’s going on in the world and how they have the power to elicit political change.”
