Glastonbury Line-Up Announced!

added 11 April 2005 at 09.56

Coldplay, The White Stripes and Kylie Minogue have been confirmed as the three Pyramid Stage headliners for Glastonbury 2005. The line-up for each of the major stages (including some new performance spaces) was confirmed this morning (April 11) by festival organisers and Xfm Online has all the details.

In an uncharacteristic move, Glastonbury Festival organisers have announced the
line-up for this year's festival a full two months earlier than the usual early-June reveal date. While the day on which each act would appear is yet to be confirmed, the full bill confirmed the rumours that the big three would be the White Stripes (Friday, Pyramid Stage headliner), Coldplay (Saturday, Pyramid Stage headliner) and closing the festival, fresh from her 'Showgirl' arena tour, Kylie Minogue (Sunday, Pyramid Stage headliner).

Joining them on the Pyramid Stage will be the likes of The Killers, Doves, Elvis Costello, New Order, Goldie Lookin' Chain, The Coral, Ash, former Beach Boy genius Brian Wilson, Jools Holland, The Undertones and The Kaiser Chiefs.

Over on the Other Stage, the headliners are yet to be confirmed. However, the big names appearing include Razorlight, Ian Brown, Kasabian, Fatboy Slim, Royksop, Bloc Party and Interpol. Also appearing on the second stage will be the likes of Rufus Wainwright, The Futureheads, The Bravery, Tom Vek, Athlete, Hot Hot Heat and Echo And The Bunnymen.

Over on the newly-named John Peel Stage the headliners are also yet to be confirmed. However, The Tears will certainly be in attendance as will Bright Eyes, The Go! Team, Willy Mason, Rilo Kiley, M.I.A. and Art Brut.
