Solid State Revival

Des Murphy a.k.a. Solid State Revival brought breezy acoustics and electric wizardry to the Xfm studios. Hear the exclusive set right here.

Solid State Revival 'Xfm Session' [Dial-Up] [Broadband]

Des quit hotly tipped act Delakota in 1998 and took off across the Mojave Desert in Southern California to find inspiration. He now lives in Shepherds Bush, melding crafty lyricism with electronic samples to create bubbly indie pop and fuzzy folk fusions.

Psychedelic session opener 'Step Into The Sun' [Dial-Up] [Broadband] shows off a rare pop brilliance as plump, rumbling bass lines develop behind frenzied guitars and upbeat synths, the enchanting lyrics and unique vocals of 'Two Links On A Chain' [Dial-Up] [Broadband] drift fluently on to hypnotising set closer 'I'm Glad You Found A Piece Of Heaven In Your Heart' [Dial-Up] [Broadband] taken from the new mini album ‘From The Bubble To The Box', which has apparently been 'years in the making'.
