Feeder For Download 2005?

Organisers of Download are rumoured to be planning on turning the Donington metal weekender into a three-day extravaganza, and there are some big acts rumoured to be making an appearance.
www.VirtualFestivals.com is reporting that the Download festival may add an extra day to its annual 2-day festival for 2005, with a possible Friday 'indie' day. Its has also been rumoured that the Saturday may be hosted in 2005 by the Ozzfest touring party.
At present, the festival is scheduled to take place on the weekend of June 11-12, but organisers are hoping to run the event on Friday June 10 as well, with Feeder in the picture to headline the day.
However, a Download spokesperson told Virtual Festivals that nothing has been confirmed yet, and said that the Friday would only go ahead if the right kind of bands agree to play. She confirmed that the Ozzfest day would go ahead, with Ozzy Osbourne selecting the bands to play on that day - giving further weight to reports that his band Black Sabbath will be headlining.
Other strong rumours doing the rounds include Velvet Revolver, Motley Crue, The Datsuns, The Prodigy, Marilyn Manson, and Green Day. System Of A Down have revealed via their own website that they will be playing on the Sunday, which is expected to be a more traditional metal line-up.
Download 2005 takes place at Donington Park, Derbyshire, on June 11-12 (and possibly June 10 as well). Tickets are expected to go on sale in February.
In other Feeder news, Xfm is proud to announce that Feeder will be playing an exclusive Xfm Live Session at the Islington Academy in association with Jameson Irish Whisky. The gig will be taking place this Tuesday (February 1) with doors opening at 7:00pm. There will be no support band, and Feeder will be onstage at 9:00pm and, as if that wasn't enough, Xfm's very own Iain Baker will be DJing and compering throughout the evening.
Like our already legendary Xfm Live Sessions (which have included amazing sets from Kasabian, The Music, Ash, Lostprophets and Supergrass ) tickets for the gig aren’t available through the usual outlets, but you can win them by listening to 104.9 Xfm or by entering our exclusive competition online simply by clicking here.
Feeder will also be speaking to Lauren Laverne on Drivetime on 104.9 Xfm today from 4pm
