X-clusive: Speculation On Green Day Alter-Egos Intensifies
Following Friday's story concerning the identity of mysterious garage rockers Foxboro Hot Tubs, Xfm's Californian moles reckon they've uncovered the band behind them.
Eagle-eyed reader Matt Mifford of Berkeley, CA is convinced that Foxoboro Hot Tubs are none other than punk trio Green Day.
Speaking exclusively to Xfm, Matt said: "The new name refers to an apartment complex across the street from [Green Day singer-guitarist] Billie Joe [Armstrong]'s house in Rodeo, CA where kids would sneak in and use the hot tubs. The name of the apartment complex was Foxboro, thus you would say, 'Let's go over to the Foxboro hot tubs tonight'. Only the people in the know, know!!!"
