Darkness Release First Download Single

The Darkness have teamed up with chart e-tailer Recordstore to release their first ever download only single, a re-recording of their single ‘Get Your Hands Off My Woman’.
Recorded with the help of Queen’s legendary producer Roy Thomas Baker ‘Get Your Hands Off My Woman Again’ will be released as a download only single for a month from Monday November 8.
The track is being sold for 99p (or £1.50 via SMS) as a Windows Media Audio 9 file via a Recordstore operated download shop on the band’s web site www.thedarknessrock.com. The download will be transferable to three portable devices and burnable onto three different CDs
The song was originally released before the band’s breakthrough and stopped just outside the Top 40, but this time looks set to knock U2 off the download chart’s top spot.
And in a special treat for fans, anyone downloading the single in its first week of release will be entered into a draw to win three pairs of tickets to a special London warm up gig for their forthcoming winter national tour.
The Darkness' full UK winter tour dates are:
- Brixton Academy, London (November 23)
- Nottingham Arena (24)
- Glasgow SECC Arena (26 & 27)
- Newcastle Metro Radio Arena (29 & 30)
- Manchester MEN Arena (December 1 & 2)
- Sheffield Hallam FM Arena (4)
- Cardiff International Arena (6)
- Birmingham NEC Arena (7, 8)
- London Wembley Arena (10, 11 & 12)
