Kylie Minogue To Play Glastonbury?

It may be eight months away but rumours continue to circulate about who will be playing the Glastonbury Festival in 2005, with the latest reports indicating Kylie Minogue will be performing on the final day of the event.
According to The Sun newspaper Kylie is the latest name to have confirmed she will play at next year's Glastonbury Festival. A source for the paper claims "She's nervous. She wants to wow the crowds like on her tours. A lot of people will be pleasantly surprised when they see her live."
The paper goes on to say that Kylie will perform before Outkast who they claim are booked to headline the main stage on the Sunday night of the three day event. Of course the fact that Outkast have publicly stated that they refuse to play live and have no plans to stage live events ever, should hint that one should approach the reports with an amount of skepticism.
Last month U2 ended months of speculation by ruling themselves out of a headline slot for next year's Glastonbury Festival as they will be on tour, but rumours have already started that Pink Floyd and The Undertones may play the event as a tribute to the late John Peel, who championed both bands during his career.
Festival organiser Michael Eavis has also mentioned his desire to book Razorlight, Franz Ferdinand, Snow Patrol, The Streets and Prince for the event, but there has been no official confirmation of any of the line up.
But as always, it will be a case of wait and see. No bands are officially confirmed as yet and the line-up will not be announced until April at the earliest.
The Glastonbury Festival 2005 is due to take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, between 24-26 June (license permitting.)
