Help Save Camden's Stables Market

Yet another legendary London landmark, steeped in musical history and full of character is set to be turned into a soulless commercial shopping centre. This time is Camden's iconic Stables Market, and you can help save it.
Fat cat developers are planning to turn the diverse and quirky Stables market - a unique architectural site as well as a pivotal part of London's heritage - into a generic mall hosting retailers such as Boots, TopShop and H&M.
You can join the thousands of people already voicing their objections by clicking here and signing the e-petition for the Government to halt the development.
Proud Galleries - which is located within the Stables Market and plays host to numerous high profile exhibitions and live music events - has already announced it's intentions to relocate this October to a nearby location.
Two weeks ago Kate Nash, Graham Coxon and a host of other acts played at an evening in Camden's Boogaloo, intended to highlight the plans and voice the protest of locals, musicians and artists alike.
Coxon remonstrated "[The planned development] is a pathetic attempt at modernisation. What's going to be in it? More Starbucks coffee houses and Carphone Warehouses?
"It should be full of tailors, shoemakers, cheesemakers and independent shops, but of course they are not going to do that."
