QOTSA Record Yet More Tracks For New LP

The release date for the new Queens of the Stone Age album all but set, mainman Josh Homme has returns to the studio to complete more tracks for the album. Oh, and one of the songs is called 'The Fun Machine Took A Shit And Died'. Need we say more?
The still-untitled follow-up to 2002's ‘Songs for the Deaf’ is currently pencilled-in for a March 2005 release, but the final tracklisting is still yet to be finalised as Josh Homme is set to return to the studio this month to record two new songs.
According to a message to fans on the band’s website, the two new songs, entitled ‘The Fun Machine Took a Shit and Died’ and ‘Don't Need a Name’, will be added to the 18 already completed. However, whether all twenty tracks will make the final cut is currently unclear.
"Two new songs just came up and the boys did not want to wait for the record after this to record them,” the official source claimed. “They feel like the weight of the wait until March is already a long enough wait for them to wait."
As previously reported on Xfm Online, rumours have been circulating that estranged QOTSA bassist Nick Oliveri was spotted chatting and joking to Homme at a recent concert for the singer’s side project Eagles Of Death Metal.
“I saw Josh & Nick Oliveri (who was at the show to see the Eagles) embrace, talk, laugh & smile.” The report reads, “They may not be playin' together but they sure seemed like old friends genuinely glad to be hangin out together.”
