Babyshambles Play Anti Racism Gig

A series of gigs arranged by the Love Music Hate Racism include sets by Pete Doherty's unpredictable outfit Babyshambles, ex-Clash man Mick Jones’ new outfit Carbon/Silicon and The Cooper Temple Clause.
The Libertines may have pulled out of the huge planned Anti Racism gig in Finsbury Park earlier in the year, but former Libertines frontman Pete Doherty’s outfit Babyshambles have signed up to play one of three Love Music Hate Racism events taking place in London later in the month.
The outfit will play the Coronet Theatre in Elephant and Castle on London Friday October 15, and will be joined by The Cooper Temple Clause, playing one of their few live dates this winter.
A second concert will take place on Saturday October 16 at the London Astoria and will include performances from Carbon/Silicon – the new band of Mick Jones of The Clash and Tony James of Generation X, Billy Bragg, French electronic outfit Karma Sutra and Atari Teenage Riot.
A third event, a live concert and debate on ‘Rap, Guns, And Racism’ will also take place on Friday October 15 at the ESF Music Space, Alexandra Palace, North London and will feature Skinnyman and former So Sold Crew singer Asher D.
