Cooper Temple Clause Recruit New Bassist

In the wake of bassplayer Didz’s temporary departure to concentrate on his recently-born child, The Cooper Temple Clause have announced that a close friend of the band will take over bass duties as his replacement.
As the band begin their stateside jaunt as part of The Cure’s touring ‘Curiosa’ festival, they have confirmed that TCTC producer Dan Austin has replaced Didz Hammond for the time being.
“The replacement comes in the form of a tall, dark and rugged producer, Mr. Dan Austin, who will be standing in for our newly made father, Didz,” the band explained in a statement to fans. “Our producer, and now bass player, Dan will be holding up the rhythm section for the first half of the tour until Didz rejoins the party on the 10th August.”
The Curiosa festival runs until August 29 and features The Cure, Mogwai, Muse, Interpol, The Rapture, Auf Der Maur and Thursday across two stages.
